Identifying your Alcon Caliper

Need help identifying your Alcon Caliper?  This guide will help.

Alcon Mono4 Caliper - Commonly used in street brake kits and with STaSIS and other aftermarket Alcon brake kits.  Four Pistons.  Part Number will  Start with CAR98.  This is a one-piece caliper.  There will be no seam down the middle of the caliper body.  Typically silver in color but other colors have been produced.  Radial Mount. Alcon Mono4 Caliper 
 Alcon Mono6 Caliper - Commonly used in street brake kits and with STaSIS and other aftermarket Alcon brake kits.  Six Pistons.  Part Number will  Start with CAR97.  This is a one-piece caliper.  There will be no seam down the middle of the caliper body.  Typically silver in color but other colors have been produced.  Radial Mount.  
Alcon P-Type Caliper Commonly used in street brake kits and with STaSIS and other aftermarket Alcon brake kits.  Four Pistons.  Part Number will  Start with CAR36.  This is a two-piece caliper.  Caliper body has a seam down the middle.  Typically silver in color but other colors have been produced.  Radial Mount.
 Alcon CAR87 Mono6 Caliper - Used in Alcon Superkits.  Six Pistons.  Part Number will  Start with CAR87.  This is a one-piece caliper.  Features a removable bridge, darker grey body, and protection guides on the corners.    Radial Mount.  
 Alcon B-Type Caliper - Used primarily and race and some street applications.  Six Pistons.  Part Number will  Start with CAR73.  This is a two-piece caliper.  Features a removable bridge, darker grey body.  
 Alcon R-Type Caliper - Designated as a race caliper but occasionally used in street applications.  Two Pistons.  This is a multi-piece caliper.  Features a removable bridge, darker grey body.
