Alcon Front Brake Upgrade for Toyota Tacoma Gen 3

Alcon Front Brake Upgrade for Toyota Tacoma Gen 3

Alcon, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of brakes for motorsport, offroad, military, and NGO Defense brakes has released a new brake upgrade for the Toyota Tacoma Gen3.  (2016 on Gen 3 Toyota Tacoma)   The kit is suitable for both onroad and off-road use.

Alconkits is offering a front brake upgrade including calipers, orotrs, pads, brackets, and brake lines.

The upgrade is designed with the adventurer in mind. After a long weekend of trail riding and camping with friends, Alcon’s new Tacoma brake upgrade is ready to keep you, your family and your rig safe  while traveling down the mountain back to regular life. With the added weight of aftermarket equipment and gear all loaded in your rig along with the need to control your speed coming down steep descents, the limitations of the stock braking system will be revealed. The increase in thermal capacity of the Alcon upgrade over stock system means it can handle heavier and longer braking to provide you with the stopping powre when it matters most.

Extensively tested, the kit has shown significant gains over factory brakes

  •  38% reduction in brake temp incease
  • 47% reduction in pad work rates (leading to better braking and longer life)
  • 14% decrease in pedal effort.

The calipers included feature ductile iron housings for maximum strength and durability, plus stiffness and resistance to impact and fatigue.  They are coated in epoxy acrylic paint over an acid zinc finish for maximum corrion resistance and protection.  All calipers come with advance high temp seals around each piston for proteciton from high temperatures and from road grime and debris.

This system offers significantly more thermal capacity meaning you can brake harder and longer without the fear of brake fade.  THe pads offer increased surface area for more braking and longer service life to compliument the upgraded calipers and rotors.

The system install is quick and simple.

It fits nicely under many 17 inch and larger aftermarket wheels including Method MR701 17x8.5", Method MR305 ET0 17 x 8.5", AEV Salta XR 17 x 8.5" and BRAID winrace T 17 x 7.5"
