PRODUCT INFORMATION

Product Description:
The ICON Vehicle Dynamics Stage 5 Suspension System (SKU ICOK53025T) is a fully integrated performance‑suspension package engineered for 2007 through 2021 Toyota Tundra 2WD and 4WD models. It is designed to deliver improved wheel travel, refined ride quality and optimized geometry for drivers seeking both street and off‑road performance, while accommodating up to approx 35″ tire fitment when properly installed.

Key Technical Features:

  • Front adjustable 2.5″ body coil‑over shocks with remote reservoirs, vehicle‑specific valving and a height adjustment range of approximately 1″ to 3″ over stock (on stock chassis) for the front axle.

  • Rear piggy‑back or remote reservoir shocks (ICON 2.5 VS series), and a progressive rear leaf pack designed to add approximately 1.5″ of lift while retaining ride quality.

  • Tubular steel upper control arms with ICON’s patented Delta Joint™ design (high‑angle ball‑joint/uniball hybrid) for improved articulation, caster correction, and durability under increased travel conditions.

  • 100% bolt‑on installation—no cutting, welding or major fabrication required—utilizing factory mounting points.

  • Designed to maintain OEM track width and preserve towing capability while delivering performance improvements and increased ground clearance.

Technical Considerations:
The Stage 5 system is a performance‑oriented suspension upgrade—not simply a “lift kit”. The addition of larger diameter shocks, remote reservoirs, tubular control arms and modified geometry means that proper installation is critical. Key steps include: full vehicle alignment (caster, camber, toe), verifying driveshaft angles, checking brake‑line/ABS wiring clearance, verifying coilover height and preload, and after initial break‑in re‑inspection of mounting hardware. Use of larger than stock tires, aftermarket wheels, or additional modifications may require further supporting modifications (such as driveshaft length/angle correction, differential drop brackets, or clearance trimming). Also, because the kit aims to maintain wheel travel and damping performance, ensure correct shock charge and reservoir routing, as well as appropriate bump‑stop/limit modification if necessary.

Expert FAQ:

  1. What front lift range does this Stage 5 kit provide?
The kit offers approximately 1″ to 3″ of front lift (over stock ride‑height) when properly installed on a 2007‑21 Toyota Tundra using the included coil‑overs and tubular UCAs.

  2. What benefits do the remote‑reservoir coil‑overs and piggyback rear shocks provide?
Remote or piggy‑back reservoirs increase oil and gas volume, improve heat dissipation and reduce cavitation under heavy use—resulting in more consistent damping performance, better control during articulating/off‑road use, and improved ride quality.

  3. Are the tubular upper control arms necessary, and what do they deliver?
Yes — the tubular UCAs with Delta Joint design allow greater suspension articulation and improved alignment stability (especially caster/camber) under increased travel conditions compared to OEM arms, helping maintain predictable steering and handling.

  4. Will I need any additional modifications when installing this kit?
Possibly. While the system covers many components, if you upgrade tire size, wheels, or add heavy accessories (e.g., winch, bumper), you may need to check driveshaft angles, adjust or upgrade differential mounts, bump stops, and rebalance the suspension geometry. Also verify clearance for brake lines/ABS wiring under full travel.

  5. What maintenance or inspection regimen should I follow post‑installation?
After installation, perform a full alignment, verify coil‑over height/preload, and after initial miles re‑check torque on mounting hardware. Periodically inspect the Delta Joint bearings, shock reservoirs, hose routing, bushings and shock body condition for proper functionality—especially after off‑road or high‑load use. Also monitor for any abnormal ride behavior or tire wear patterns.
