Fitment Confidence; What to Expect
At Alconkits.com, we take fitment seriously. Every brake kit is engineered for specific vehicles—but wheel design and vehicle variations can impact final fitment.
Here’s how to think about it:
When We Provide a Wheel Template (Guaranteed Fitment)
If a wheel clearance template is available and used:
- Fitment is confirmed when the template is properly checked against your wheel
- No modifications are required
- This is our highest-confidence scenario
Bottom line: If the template clears, the kit will fit as intended.
When No Template Is Available (Fitment Guidance)
In some cases, templates are not available for a specific vehicle or wheel setup.
In these situations:
- We provide fitment guidance (an educated guess) based on known configurations and experience
- Variations in wheel design (spoke shape, barrel clearance, offsets) can affect results
- Minor modifications may be required (e.g., spacers or small adjustments)
Bottom line: Fitment is highly likely, but not guaranteed without a template. You should assume some minor modifications to install.
About Modifications
Performance brake systems are larger than factory components. Depending on your setup:
- Wheel spacers may be required
- Aftermarket wheels generally provide more clearance than OEM wheels
- Some edge cases may require additional adjustments
We’ll always advise upfront when a setup is known to be tight or may require changes.
Our Commitment
- We will never knowingly recommend a setup that does not work
- When fitment is uncertain, we’ll clearly communicate the level of confidence
- If you want absolute certainty, we strongly recommend using a wheel template
