Ford F-150 Raptor Keeps Its Perfect Record at Vegas to Reno

Source: Ford Racing | August 17, 2026

The 2026 Casey Folks Vegas to Reno race wrapped up with the Ford F-150 Raptor doing what it has consistently done in Stock Full-Size desert racing: winning. Brad Lovell, Adam Lovell, Jason Hutter, and Paul Blangsted piloted the 3.5L EcoBoost-powered truck to another class victory at one of the longest and most punishing off-road races in North America, keeping the Raptor's stock-class record clean.

Vegas to Reno isn't a sprint. It's roughly 500 miles of Nevada high desert at speed, with washboard, whoops, and repeated hard stops that reveal what your brake hardware is actually made of. The Stock Full-Size rules keep competing trucks close to production spec, so when a Raptor wins here, it's the platform proving itself, not purpose-built race equipment.

Rear Brakes Take a Real Beating in Desert Racing

Most brake upgrade conversations start at the front, and with good reason. But in a race like Vegas to Reno, balanced deceleration front to rear is what keeps a truck stable on rough terrain at high speed. The rear rotors absorb a meaningful share of the thermal load on every hard stop, and in a truck that's also expected to tow, haul, or run loaded on the street, that rear-end hardware matters far more than most owners realize until it's already fading.

Alcon's Ford SVT Raptor / F-150 Rear Brake Rotors are a direct-fit pair for 2010 to 2021 Raptors and F-150s, slot-cut to clear heat and gas from the pad face under repeated hard use. They fit the OE caliper positions, so there's no bracket fabrication or adapter work, just a straightforward upgrade that gives you a rotor engineered for the demands this truck actually sees. Through open spokes they look clean and purposeful, a signal that the whole truck has been thought through.

If the fronts are already sorted or you're building from the rear forward, these are the rotors the platform deserves.
