PRODUCT INFORMATION

Paragon Track Performance Big Brake Kit (PA025 4 piston) - Honda S2000 Rear

NOTE:   Eliminates Emergency Brake.  Not for street use.

Upgrade your Honda S2000's rear brake system with Paragon's PA025 4 piston Track Performance Big Brake Kit. Designed for track day enthusiasts, it features superior braking performance and high-quality materials for lasting performance in both street and track conditions.

Paragon Track Performance Big Brake Kit (PA025 4 piston) - Honda S2000 Rear features fully-floating 2-piece rotors with 48 directional ventilation vanes, hard anodized calipers and rotor hats, and optimized piston sizes for optimal cooling and performance. Suitable for both street and track usage.

Includes: Paragon PA025 4 piston calipers, 48 vane fully-floating 2-piece rotor assemblies, and Winmax brake pads. Also includes caliper mounting brackets, hardware, Goodridge stainless steel braided brake lines, caliper anti-rattle clips, and installation manual.

              Application:

              • 1999–2003 AP1 Honda S2000
              • 2004–2009 AP2 Honda S2000

              PA025 4 Piston Calipers

              • Constructed from 6061-T6 aluminum for increased rigidity and consistent pedal feel, improving responsiveness and modulation. Hard anodized finish for improved wear resistance. Unlike painted/powder coated calipers, hard anodized finish will not deteriorate under extreme heat
              • The TiN coated pistons protect sliding surfaces and extend service intervals while the stainless steel pistons act as a thermal barrier, reducing brake fluid boiling and fade. Extra machining minimizes pad contact and high temperature piston seals and internal dust seals withstand harsh track conditions, extending caliper service life. Internal dust seals also protect against debris and contaminants, outlasting external dust boots commonly used on OEM calipers.
              • Strong, yet lightweight. Each caliper weighs 5.5 lbs (without pads)
              • Optional anti-knockback springs
              • Stainless steel bleed screws and crossover pipe

              Floating 2-piece Rotors

The PA025 Rear Big Brake Kit (4 piston) for Honda S2000 offers superior braking and cooling performance. Its floating 2-piece design allows for thermal expansion and self-centering, while the 48 directional ventilation vanes improve heat dissipation.

Made of CM-250 special formulated high carbon alloy cast iron, heat treated for optimal bite and durability. Includes state-of-the-art CBN surface machining and offers excellent thermal capacity. Replacement rotor rings can be purchased separately at a competitive price.

Features 48 directional ventilation vanes to create suction and turbulence, and guide cool air through the rotor to achieve better heat dissipation and increased resistance to cracking under harsh track conditions. Each rotor is left or right side specific, and the ventilation vanes are optimized to spin in a particular direction to pump the maximum amount of cool air through the rotor. This design allows the rotor to run up to 30% cooler than O.E. rotors and increases cooling efficiency by up to 30% over standard 1-piece units. Brake fade and judder are minimized during extended sessions. This means the brake system can withstand heavier track usage and provide consistent braking performance lap after lap.

Slotted rotor face pattern improves brake consistency by constantly cleaning the contact surface and dissipate heat generated, and gases released when the pads come into contact with the rotors. Slotted rotors have a superior advantage over blank rotors in wet or raining conditions by preventing water films to form between the brake pad and rotor surface.

                          Hard Anodized Aluminum Hats

                          • CNC machined from lightweight 6061-T6 aerospace grade aluminum
                          • Unsprung weight reduction
                          • High strength and durability
                          • Type III Mil-spec hard anodized to increase resistance to wear, corrosion, and discoloration

                                Floating Bobbins & Mounting System

Uses T-Bobbin rotor to hat mounting system for floating movement and reduced brake judder. Features corrosion resistant stainless steel hardware and anti-wear McLaren spring clips to minimize noise..

                                Caliper Mounting Brackets

CNC machined caliper mounting brackets to ensure superior strength, durability, and secure mounting of calipers to knuckles.

                                WinmaxBrake Pads

                                • Superior stopping power and modulation
                                • High fade resistance
                                • Consistent performance under high temperature conditions

                                              Big Brake Kit common questions

                                              Installation

What tools do I need to install?

Our brake kits require common hand tools for installation. You will need a torque wrench, brake fluid (2 pints), and loctite.

What if I run into issues while installing?

We pride ourself in expert advice. You can call or text us at 630-360-2548 for expert technical and installation advice.

                                              Are any other modifications required?

For OEM installations where wider rotors are fitted, you should expect to remove or trim the rotor dust/heat shield. This often interferes with larger rotors but is no longer needed due to our upgraded components.

Will I need a new Master Cylinder

No. All of our brake kits are designed specifically to work with the hydraulic ratio of your stock master cylinder

                                              Do I need wheel spacers

We provide a fitment template for you to check clearance in advance. In some cases a small spacer may be required and we provide those when we are sure they are needed.

                                              Are brake pads included?

Yes. We include the appropriate brake pads for all our brake kits. In some cases we offer multiple compounds for you to customize your experience. We stock a wide variety of pads for Alcon Brake kits here.

                                              Break In questions

Do I need to brake in new rotors/pads?

Yes! We highly recommend following our brake pad/rotor bed in process. This ensures that an even layer of pad material is deposited on the rotor to eliminate shudder, increase rotor life, and to heat temper the new rotors for longer life.

                                              What about noise and dust?

Noise and dust are related to the brake pad compound. Higher temp pads have more metallic composition and will therefore increase potential noise and dust the more aggressive the pad. For squealing issues we recommended loosening the caliper and re tightening it. This will sometimes change the caliper "frequency". Additionally "sticky shims" or our titanium pad shims will reduce noise.

                                              Operational Questions

Is this compatible with my ABS?

Yes! We test our brakes to ensure they are fully compatible with your stock ABS on all models we release.

                                              How long do they last?

Lifetime of components is massively variable based on how they are used. High dust/dirt/salt environments will wear seals out more quickly. Heavy Duty or Track use will also affect rotor and pad life.

                                              What is the warranty?

We support the manufacturers 12 month/12000 mile warranty against factory defects and material issues. You can find more details here.
